What is a Natural Gemstone?
A natural gemstone is formed deep inside the Earth over millions of years. After it is mined from the ground, the only thing done to it is cutting and polishing.

No chemical or heat modifications are made.

Extremely rare—making them more valuable over time.

Best for Astrology (Jyotish): Preferred for planetary remedies because their natural energy is untouched.

What is a Treated Gemstone?
A treated gemstone also comes from the Earth, but after mining, it undergoes artificial laboratory processes (like extreme heating, oiling, glass-filling, or dyeing) to make a dull stone look brighter, cleaner, or more colorful.

Heat Treatment: High temperature is used to deepen the color (common in Sapphires and Rubies).

Oiling / Glass Filling: Liquid glass or oils are filled into surface cracks to hide internal flaws (common in Emeralds and lower-grade Rubies).

Lower Cost: Treated stones are much more common, so they should cost significantly less than natural stones.
